I have focused my research interests around the understanding and conservation of anadromous fish. The foundation of my research has been on assessing juvenile river herring (Collectively Alewives and Blueback Herring) outmigration, and analyzing the factors that promote/prevent migration events. The main focusĀ of my research is to develop a greater understanding of a relatively understudied portion of this group’s life history. This new found knowledge will then be utilized to improve conservation efforts. My future goals are to expand upon my current research, and to continue improving conservation efforts for anadromous fish. I am particularly interested in continuing to work with keystone species, such as river herring, going forward.
